Parrot (up to 2024)
- Can I still buy a Parrot system?
Unfortunately, after an almost 30-year production run, we had to retire the Parrot system. This is mainly due to the difficulty in sourcing some of the components used for its production as well as its low sales volumes. If you have an existing Parrot system and wish to add additional test handsets, we may be able to offer a trade-in against a newer product instead.
Please contact our sales department for further details.
- Parrot spares and repairs
We always strive to maintain Soundbyte Solutions equipment for as long as possible. We are proud that there are Parrot systems still in use that are over 20 years old. We will continue to maintain them for as long as possible. We have a stock of essential components that we anticipate will last beyond 2030.
Parrotplus
- Help. My screen is upside down.
On some ParrotPlus handsets, it is possible to accidentally flip the screen so the text is displayed upside down. This is easy to correct by following the procedure below.
- With the power off, connect the handset to the speaker.
- Press and hold the ‘Select’ key on the handset.
- Continue pressing ‘Select’ and power the system on with the switch on the back of the speaker.
- Hold the ‘Select’ key and the screen will show the text upside down, then reset with the text the correct way up.
- As soon as the text is correct, release the ‘Select’ key. The screen should now be OK.
The procedure is shown below in a short video.
- Can I add tests to my Parrotplus?
Of course. You can add tests to your Parrotplus system at any time. We will need you to return the system to our offices so we can add the tests you require. We always give your system a full service and calibration when including the new tests. There is no limit to the number of tests you can have on a handset.
Phoenix (up to 2024)
- Can I still buy a Phoenix system?
Unfortunately, this type of Phoenix system is no longer available. We have replaced it with a smaller, wireless system with many additional features.
Please go to our “Products” section for further details.
We will continue to support our customers with the old-style Phoenix systems for as long as we can by providing spares and repairs.
